Papa John’s To Remove Controversial Founder From Company’s Marketing After He Was Exposed For Using the N-Word

After a series of controversial statements and subtle racist remarks, Papa John’s Founder and former CEO, John Schnatter is set to be nixed from the company’s marketing  plan.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“A person inside the company with knowledge of the decision said the decision to remove Schnatter as the marketing face of Papa John’s was made by top exectuveis and the details and exact timing are still being worked out,” according to the Associated Press. 

Just hours after news surfaced of Schnatter’s use of the N-word, Papa John’s stock dropped, Schnatter lost his job with the University of Louisville, as well as his position on his own company’s board. Now, days later, his image has been removed from Papa John’s logo on the website and social media accounts.

However, there are no plans to change the company’s name at this time, the Business Insider reports.
