Paul Mooney’s Sons Talk Richard Pryor Jr. Rumors, Say Let Him Speak For Himself

Paul Mooney’s sons are speaking out on behalf of their father following sexual abuse allegations, as they claim Mooney is “not well” enough to speak up for himself.

”Paul Mooney ain’t hiding. Paul Mooney is not well,” Dwayne said, adding, “He doesn’t even know what’s going on right now … He don’t need to speak on it. We’re speaking on it. We’re his oldest sons.”

Daryl and Dwayne Mooney recently spoke to Comedy Hype about Richard Pryor’s former bodyguard, Rashon Kahn, allegeding Paul had sex with Pryor’s son, Richard Jr.

In the video, the brothers deny the allegations and say that whatever Kahn is bringing forth this year is nothing but gossip and rumors. “My response is ‘Fuck you, Rashon,’” one said. “Coming out with some bullshit like that when Paul is ailey. After he’s old. If the shit was hot, shoulda told that shit year ago.”

Although the two said that if Richard Jr. did decide to come out and accuse Paul Mooney by name, his sons say they’d hear him out and deal with the situation accordingly. But, they say to hear it from a bodyguard years later is “BS.”

”If a person wants to out, let them out themselves,” one of the twins said, highlighting a few questionable details of Pryor Jr’s book.

Elsewhere in the interview, Daryl and Dwayne discuss why Paul was a no-show at a recent booked appearance in Atlanta, explaining their father has lost some of his mental faculties.

The two also point out timeline issues with Kahn’s claims, as well as some stories about Pryor Sr. himself, suggesting he was no angel, even when it comes to how he raised his own son. ”Ain’t none of it true, it’s all lies, it’s all gossip,” the two said.
