While some tend to criticize Carolina Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton for the way he conducts himself on the field, others enjoy watching him Dab, Whip, Nae-Nae, and Hit Dem Folks. One person who isn’t coming down on Newton for his impressive dance moves, is none other than his Super Bowl 50 competitor, Peyton Manning.
Critics have called Newton out on his dancing and dabbing all season, and have also said Newton should carry himself more like Manning. However Manning has decided to settle the score. During Monday’s Super Bowl media session, Manning said that he would celebrate like Newton too if he scored like him.
According to Pro Football Talk, when asked why he doesn’t celebrate touchdowns the way Newton does, Manning said, “I don’t run for any touchdowns.”
“If I run for a touchdown on Sunday, I’ll celebrate,” Manning said.
Manning has 18 career rushing touchdowns in 266 games, while Newton has 43 career rushing touchdowns in 78 career games.
Carolina Panther fans are sure to be looking forward to Super Bowl 50, as well as Newton’s memorable dance moves.
