Rep. Maxine Waters Cancels Two Events After Receiving Death Threats In Light Of Trump’s Tweets

Representative Maxine Waters has canceled two scheduled appearances following an alleged increase in death threats.

Waters has canceled events in both Texas and Alabama after alleging that she got “hostile mail” and threats, including “one very serious death threat” from Texas.

The threats come in the wake of Waters urging people to “push back” and put pressure on supporters of Donald Trump.

In response, Donald Trump had this to say via Twitter:

“Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!”

According to Waters, outside of the serious threat from Texas and other places, Capitol Police in Washington DC are investigating several other threats in which people have promised “to shoot, lynch, or cause me serious bodily harm.”
