“She’s Gotta Have It” Star, DeWanda Wise Lands Major Role in Marvel Movie

– blogged by @lanaladonna

It looks like someone else had to have it! We know her as Nola Darling from the Spike Lee Netflix series, “She’s Gotta Have It.” Marvel, on the other hand, wants to bring the beautiful DeWanda Wise to the big screen.

Details on her character have yet to be released, but she will be co-starring in “Capitan Marvel,” which is Marvel’s first female-led production.

Rumor has it- she’ll be playing a superhero, “Monica Rambeau,” who is also the best friend of the main character, “Carol Danvers,” played by #BrieLarson. If so, Wise has landed the role of a character with pretty good screen time.
We’ll just have to wait and see!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Either way, this is without a doubt Wise’s biggest role to date, and a door-opener into Hollywood!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Other cast members for the film include #SamuelLJackson, #BenMendelsohn, and #JudeLaw. Full fledge production for the film will begin this Spring.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Congratulations DeWanda!
