Soulja Boy Sentenced to 240 Days Behind Bars For Probation Violation

On Tuesday, after 19 days behind bars, Soulja Boy was sentenced to an additional 7 months in jail with 265 days of community service over a probation violation.

The “Crank That” rapper was arrested earlier this month after a judge determined he had failed to complete his court-ordered community service and instead tried to falsify evidence to prove he’d completed it. Soulja’s arrest also came after the rapper’s ex-girlfriend claimed he tied her up and held her hostage in his garage, which prompted an investigation and a raid.

According to TMZ, the raid uncovered ammunition, which resulted in a probation violation in his weapons case from 2014. Now, after almost 20 days in jail, following his initial court appearance, the rapper’s attorney says he’s had an “awakening.”

However, unfortunately, it appears to be too little, too late, as the judge sentenced him to 240 days in jail with credit for 40 days served.
