Wendy Williams’ health issues have been no secret to the world for quite some time now. As we can recall, the ‘Queen of daytime television’ fainted during a live broadcasting of her talk show on Halloween of 2017.
Fast forwarding to this year, Wendy has been instructed by her doctor to take a 3-week vacation to tend to her recent diagnosis of Graves’ disease, and her ongoing issues with hyperthyroidism.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“My doctor has prescribed — are you ready? — as of today, three weeks of vacation,” she announced on her show. “What? Who are you? I was pissed.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The 3- weeks hiatus was announced after Williams canceled several of last week’s shows due to suffering from ‘flu-like’ symptoms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I do go to the doctors today to find out what exactly it is,” she explained via Instagram. “I feel awful. I had to be talked out of going to work today and taking off a few days to get myself together.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Of course Wendy made light of the situation, jokingly saying she wouldn’t adhere to her 3-week sentence.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I’ll be back in two. I’m not an heiress — who is going to pay my bills? Are you serious? I’m just saying, I come from working class.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The TV personality also shared a few words of advice to women in regards to their health.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“What I want to say to women, more than men, is stop putting everyone first because if we’re not good, they’re not good,” she said.
