Tiara Thomas Releases “Fly As Hell” Visual : Video Blogged by @niksofly

Tiara Thomas is serving listeners something funky.  Thomas released the official video to “Fly As Hell” and it is something very unexpected from the songbird. This time she used her talents to drop a hot 16 [bars]. 

Thomas samples “One Step Ahead” from the legendary “Aretha Franklin (famously sampled by Mos Def in “Ms. Fat Booty”) to give the brawny beat a soulful feel.  Using Shane Adams to direct the visual, Thomas demonstrates her flexibility within her artistry.  Hopping out of her Wrangler, Thomas wastes no time in spitting  “ I’m immature, you could probably tell/ I’m high as hell, I can’t be sure/I’m fly as hell, she bi as hell/He insecure/I’m fly as hell, she bi as hell/ He insecure”.

Thomas’ matter-of -act delivery coupled with the continuous one-angle-shoot in the parking garage makes for an earthy visual. The video’s simplistic nature meshes well with Thomas’s delivery.  My only complaint is that I wished the song had an extended version. *Sigh*
