Trump Says A NFL Suspension Would Have Stopped Kaepernick from Kneeling

In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump feels that the NFL should have suspended Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem. He says, “The NFL should have suspended him for one game and he would have never done it again.”

“They could have then suspended him for two games and they could have suspended him again if he did it a third time, for the season, and you would never have had a problem.” Trump explained to host Sean Hannity.

NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell explained in a letter Tuesday, that he believed players should stand for the national anthem, also insisting that the league would consider a rule change requiring players to stand.

Ironically, Trump added “I will tell you, you cannot disrespect our country, our flag, our anthem, you cannot do that.”

Trump calling someone disrespectful is like a pot calling the kettle black.
