Tyler Perry Denies Exploiting Women In Films During An Interview At The Premiere Of His New Movie ‘A Fall From Grace’

Tyler Perry released a brand new romantic thriller titled ‘A Fall From Grace.’ This film adds to the list of movies by Perry that features women that are going through dark times and suffering.

Page Six reportedly asked during an interview with the highly successful film director if his movies were exploiting women’s suffering for box office success. Perry explained that this is simply not the case. His decision to make movies about women in pain is mirroring his mother getting abused by his father growing up. “I’m always trying to send a message that you don’t have to deal with this s–t.”

He reportedly went on further to say, “It’s not about making money off of a woman’s pain — it is about telling a story. And I wish that people, especially black women, would get off the fact of saying, ‘Oh, he’s making money off of black women.’”
