Tyrese Drags Ex-Wife Back To Court After She Leaves Daughter With Friend Instead of With Him

Tyrese is demanding his ex-wife be held accountable for violating a court order in regards to custody of their daughter, Shayla.

In new court documents obtained by TMZ, the singer-turned-actor says his ex, Norma Gibson, left the country at the beginning of the month for a trip to Trinidad but left their daughter, who was supposed to be in her custody, with a friend.

Problem is, as part of a 2014 court order, a judge granted Tyrese the right of first refusal, which means Norma was obligated to offer Tyrese the opportunity to look after their daughter before contacting another party. But, since Tyrese didn’t find out about the one-night sleepover until Shayla was in his custody the following day, he is now demanding an explanation or subsequent consequences.

The singer also mentioned 2017 social media posts with Shayla, which he believes to be another violation of a different court order.

Since then, according to the publication, a judge has granted Tyrese’s request, and now, Norma will have to stand before a judge to justify her actions. But if she fails to show, she may be held in contempt, and be forced to pay her ex’s legal and attorney fees, according to TMZ.
