Vanessa Simmons and boyfriend Mike Wayans have welcomed their daughter Ava Marie Jean Wayans to the world on February 13th. Vanessa’s uncle Danny broke the news to Twitter on Valentines Day.
Two weeks ago Vanessa posted Ava’s cute little eviction notice. It looks like shortly thereafter, she got her wish.
As you can imagine, with Vanessa being a preacher’s kid, many have had comments regarding having a baby out of wedlock. Back in October, Vanessa sat down with PEOPLE to touch on the subject.
“There’s this whole idea of first comes the marriage then the baby carriage so I was so nervous,” she said in October, after confirming the couple were expecting a baby girl.
“Of course [my dad] wants us to get married, but for now he was like, ‘We’re gonna figure this out. Just be happy and have a healthy pregnancy. I’m behind you 100 percent,’” she shared.
Congratulations to Vanessa and Mike. I’m sure Ava is beautiful!
