Wale Visits the Breakfast Club Talks New Single, Pregnancy Rumors, SNL and More (VIDEO) – blogged by @MsJennyb

MMG’s own, Wale took to The Breakfast Club to promote his new single, “My PYT,” his forthcoming album and his “new reasons to shine.”

The DC native touched on a few other topics, including his desire to host Saturday Night Live. Unfortunately for him that never happened, due to his urban roots, he assumes.

“I tried to get on Saturday Night Live seven times last album,” Wale stated. Of course, host Charlamagne the God eager to get the details of the rejection, “What happened? What they say?” Wale answered, “I’ll leave that up for speculation.” Charlamagne responded, “I mean we know they said ‘no,’ but, how did they say no?” Angela Yee interjected expressing her surprise in Wale’s SNL rejection, to which the rapper replied, “Because you grew up in an urban environment, you know Wale. Them girls that’s out there buying Demi Lovato, who has really curved my advances to write her music, I will go on record to say that, she don’t give a f*ck about no Wale until Wale is on the Top 40.”

Wale went on to include the singer in a list of young women that can sing, of which also included Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande.

Aside from that, Wale is apparently in a happy relationship, still skeptical about publically admitting his admiration for his alleged boo, when the hosts asked about his relationship, the rapper simply stated, “I have new reasons to shine.” This seems to be true since, it’s been reported that his rumored longtime girlfriend is expecting. Good for them, considering the couple has been having difficulties with previous pregnancies, this is definitely a new reason to shine.
