Well, That Was Quick: LisaRaye Calls Off Engagement To New TV-Show Fiancé After One Month

In 1992, LisaRaye McCoy jumped the broom with former NFL baller, Tony Martin. Two years later, the couple divorced. In 2006, McCoy married again – this time to Michael Misick, the then-Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

However, when that relationship fell through in 2009, McCoy took some time off to heal. But after nine years, McCoy revealed she was finally ready to make that move one last time.

“I want to find love, with a side of adventure a dash of laughter and a tall glass of good God almighty he is fine,” she wrote in a message to ABC Network, ahead of her appearance on “The Proposal.” “Don’t forget a sprinkle on some intelligence and garnish with faith driven powerful success..”

Despite her history with men, McCoy managed to lock down Mr. Right, thanks to ABC and “The Proposal.” McCoy chose a man named Anthony, who popped the question after only an hour of getting to know her.

Though the two managed to stick it out for a few weeks, the actress took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal the engagement is off.

“Hello everyone,” McCoy wrote, “Yes the relationship with Anthony B is over. I feel the right decision was made when I chose Anthony from the batch of men, I was given to select from the TV show. We have both come to a mutual understanding that we are not compatible enough to continue in pursuing a relationship with each other.”

“I do not request anytime put into this journey because I was immensely receptive in trying a different approach and outlook on finding love,” she said. “I wish Anthony B nothing but the best and even though a marriage is not happening I did acquire a new friend.”
