When The Checks Stop Coming: Jas Prince Suing Cortez Bryant & Drake’s Management Team

Some of you may not know where Drake came from (other than Canada, of course) but there’s definitely one person who will never forget and his name is Jas Prince. Jas Prince, the son of James Prince (Rap-a-Lot Records) could be considered the person who discovered the Young Money crooner. He definitely was the person who introduced Drake to Lil Wayne, which is why Drake is where he is today. So why have the checks stopped coming in?

Now Jas is suing Cortez Bryant & Drake’s management team for breach of contract, failure to pay profits, failure to account and a whole lot more! It’s 69 pages worth of stuff if you’re down to read.

Brief Explanation of Complaints

– Bryant, without consulting Prince signed Drake to an exclusive agreement

– Bryant Failed to Honor Promise under Oral Agreement to allow Prince to lead all negotiations between Drake and Young Money Cash Money

– Bryant has failed to perform express terms and conditions of the settlement agreements for failure to pay Prince 2/3’s of their profits.

– Bryant failed to pay Prince within 30 days from receiving payment from YMCMB

Like i said, it’s all pretty long but I’ll attach the document if you want more details. Essentially it’s saying that Prince and Bryant agreed to some terms regarding Drake and Bryant has stopped delivering. To be clear, Prince is NOT suing Drake and word is, Drake isn’t seeing all of his money either.
