XXXTentacion Hit With 8 New Felonies For Witness Tampering

Just days after XXXTentacion was sent to jail for violating the terms of his release, prosecutors have added an additional eight charges to the rapper’s previous seven, which all stem from his 2016 domestic violence case.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say XXXTentacion attempted to coerce the victim into not testifying against him in the domestic violence case. If you recall, Pitchfork released several dozen pages of witness testimony, where the victim, X’s then-pregnant girlfriend, detailed months of abuse. She also accused X of threatening to kill her, as well as threatening to penetrate her with a barbecue pitchfork.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

X was eventually arrested on domestic violence charges. Problem is, the rapper was already out on bond from a separate case. The arrest led to his latest remand.

However, in addition to violating his bond, prosecutors accused the rapper of witness tampering, which led to seven charges upon his arrest. One week later, officials told TMZ that X made several phone calls which were recorded, while in custody, that led to the eight new charges.

X is currently being held without bail and his phone privileges have been revoked, TMZ reports.
