Good news for Cowboys fans, Tony Romo has confirmed that he will not need to undergo surgery after fracturing his clavicle during Sunday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas QB took to his Twitter to thank fans for their well wishes and support. “Thank you for all your prayers and support,” he tweeted. Â “No surgery needed. We’re just getting started cowboys nation. See you soon.”
Don’t get too excited though, this doesn’t change the estimated 8 weeks Romo is expected to miss while he nurses his injury. In the mean time, backup QB Brandon Weeden will take over. “I think Brandon is going to  come in and play good football. I think he’s ready,” said Romo during Sunday night’s post game press conference.Â
The Cowboys are currently 2-0, beating the Giants and Eagles so far this season. With both Romo and Dez Bryant out for at least another 8 weeks, the Boys will have their work cut out for them maintaining this lead.
