When it comes to Houston, there’s pretty much nothing #TraeTheTruth wouldn’t do to help his city, which is why he’s taking over as lead of rescue missions to help residents that were affected by the recent floods.
According to ABC 13, Trae facilitated the transportation of numerous families and middle school students to safety. “We’re grabbing the families and transporting them through the areas that have water to get them home,” the rapper explained. “They are coming back and forth, so we’re doing a pick-up and drop off. It’s hundreds of student still here. Staff still here and everything.”
This isn’t the first time Trae stepped up in the name of Houston. Back in 2017, when the city was hit by Hurricane Harvey, Trae used a boat to ride around and rescue as many residents as possible. In addition, the rapper launched several charity campaigns and scholarship funds to support children and families in need.
“Some of the sadder moments were seeing the kids cry. It was like a mixture of crying for happiness and crying because they never intended on being stuck inside of a school all night,” Trae said, explaining the rescuing of Woodbridge Forest Middle School students.
