WNBA Star Natasha Howard Denies Domestic Violence Claims Made By Wife Via Social Media, Releases Statement

Natasha Howard has denied allegations of domestic abuse made by her wife on social media.

Howard’s wife took to social media, alleging that her basketball star wife physically abused her. In a series of tweets, Howard’s wife, Jacqueline, posted multiple expletive-tweets and screenshots of several text conversations, and a video which appeared to show bruises on her arm. In one of the texts, Jacqueline claimed Howard stabbed her in the leg and chest.

On Tuesday, Howard denied the allegations and said she filed for divorce. In addition, the baller requested a restraining order against Jacqueline via Seattle Times. The statements read: “The allegations that have been made against me are very serious I deny them,” Howard said in a statement through her attorney, Lorraine Rimson, via the Seattle Times. “I do not take them lightly, but I do not believe that they should be evaluated and decided through social media or through the media generally. That is why I have waited to comment.”

So far, the WNBA has launched an investigation into the allegations but has yet to suspend the athlete. The story is still developing.
