50 Cent vs Paris Jackson

Last week, 50 Cent took to Twitter to crown Chris Brown as the greatest entertainer of all time, claiming the “Run It” singer was “better than MJ to me now.”

“Chris Brown has sold 69.5M singles in the US, making him the 7th best selling singles artists of all time. He has now [totaled] 100M RIAA certified units,” the tweet read, which prompted 50’s response. However, the “In Da Club” rapper’s opinion was quickly met with criticism and confusion, as many highlighted the fact that while Brown is great, he doesn’t compare.

In fact, even Brown, himself, took to social media to settle the debate, sharing a photo of the King of Pop with the prayer hands emoji. But, despite the backlash, 50 doubled down on his statement, and shared a video of Brown’s acrobatics, captioned: “All I’m saying is I never seen MJ come out like this.”

In response, MJ’s 21-year-old daughter, Paris, took to the rapper’s comments to set him straight.

“Superbowl 1993,” Jackson wrote. “True legends don’t need to exert outrageous amounts of energy just to grasp your attention. Stillness, my friend. Stillness. More power in stillness than you can probably understand.”

As she continued, she made it clear that her remark was, in no way, meant to disrespect Brown. “And I say this with zero shade to Chris. I love him dearly,” she said. “This is just for you 50.”

Of course, just hours later, 50 Cent responded, the only way he knew how.

“Why am I the bad guy,” 50 wrote. “I understand how you feel Paris, but does anyone care about how the little boy’s butts feels.”

Despite the back and forth, it remains unclear if 50 Cent was even serious. Does he really believe Chris Brown is better than MJ, or was he just trolling?
