Kanye West’s Sunday Service Sparks “New Wave Of Revival” As Over 1,000 People Give Their Life To Christ

Kanye West’s newfound devotion to Christ and Christianity has reportedly led to a “new wave of revival,” according to a Louisiana pastor who witnessed the movement firsthand with West’s last-minute “Sunday Service” in Baton Rouge.

On Friday, West, who recently opened his ‘Sunday Service’ fellowship to the public, took his traveling church choir to Bethany Church for a free service. The Chicago-bred rap star kicked off the service with his new song “Closed On Sunday,” from his “Jesus Is King” album, and performed other gospel hits like, “Every Hour,” “Follow God,” and “Jesus Is Lord.”

However, according to Curvine Brewington, a pastor at Crossroads Church in Lafayette who attended the service with his wife, the most inspiring part of West’s ‘Sunday Service” was the “new wave of revival,” in which over 1,000 gave their life to Christ.

“Tonight, worship was lifted, the name of Christ was exalted, the Word of God was preached, a multitude prayed together, the Gospel was clearly proclaimed, and an opportunity to respond was given,” Brewington explained of his experience. “In a crowd of 6,000 people from all walks of life, all ages, and all races, I witnessed over 1,000 people respond to the Gospel by raising their hands to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.”

“Say what you want and think what you want,” Brewington continued, in his long-winded post. “But trust me when I tell you. The Spirit of the Living God was indeed present. I danced, wept, stood in awe of God’s redemptive work, and can honestly say that tonight I witnessed a new wave of REVIVAL first hand.”

Despite the fellowship, West’s Sunday Service faced backlash as rumors surfaced of the $55 plate brunch fundraiser that flopped, with many likening the situation to the infamous Fyre Festival. But, according to the catering company, Kanye West was not the blame for the incident.
