NBA Hall of Famer and basketball royalty Michael Jordan plans to donate all funds received from his 10-part ESPN documentary, The Last Dance, to charity.
According to Forbes, the proceeds from the documentary are estimated to reach at least 3 to 4-million dollars. Sports fans worldwide were highly anticipating the documentary when ESPN first announced it in May of 2018.
The Last Dance was scheduled to air in June, however, with the COVID-19 pandemic stopping all live sporting events, ESPN decided to move the date up.
Two of the ten episodes, aired Sunday night, with 6.1 million viewers tuning in. While Jordan, 57, won’t benefit financially from the documentary, he’s likely to garner some new fans.
