At just 21-years-old, Carter was given the opportunity of a lifetime when Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, selected her, and Beyonce, herself, to shoot Beyonce’s British Vogue cover.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro student has admired Beyonce’s ability to “control her own narrative” from a young age. “It’s really amazing that she’s using her influence to be able to give young artists this experience and allowing their voices to be heard. She’s opening the door for others.”
