Two women have filed a lawsuit against Dwight Howard alleging that he failed to pay them for their services — including caring for a 200-pound snake.
According to TMZ, the suit filed by Armica Nabaa and Kamisha Shelman states the two women were hired to handle Howard’s personal management services in December of 2018. They were hired to run his business and administrative affairs, but Howard piled on the responsibilities. They claim they were left to pick up the slack after the basketball star fired his groundskeeper, butler, and maid.
One of the tasks the women had to pick up was caring for his exotic snake collection. The suit says the collection is “comprised of a number of large snakes,” including a “constrictor that can grow to a final length of 25 feet and over 200 pounds” named Cleopatra, according to the outlet.
Nabaa also claims she played a part in Howard landing on the Los Angeles Lakers. She alleges that Howard used her contacts and network, which resulted in his joining the Lakers.
Earlier this year, Howard fired the woman while still owing them for their services. The lawsuit is asking $50,000 in unpaid wages, including other fees and damages.
