President-elect Joe Biden is planning to get straight to work on his first day in office. Biden plans to sign “roughly a dozen” executive orders that will undo controversial Trump policies, including reversing the travel ban on several majority Muslim countries and rejoining the Paris Climate accord, a memo from incoming chief of staff Ron Klain explained.

According to Business Insider, these executive orders are part of Biden’s larger 10-day plan to roll back Trump’s signature policies on immigration, climate change, and the COVID-19 crisis as the incoming administration.

“President-elect Biden is assuming the presidency in a moment of profound crisis for our nation,” Klain said in the memo. “We face four overlapping and compounding crises: the COVID-19 crisis, the resulting economic crisis, the climate crisis, and a racial equity crisis.”

“President-elect Biden will take action — not just to reverse the gravest damages of the Trump administration — but also to start moving our country forward,” Klain’s memo stated.

The memo also vows to send an immigration plan to Congress within Biden’s first 100 days in office, but it did not detail a plan on rejoining the World Health Organization (WHO), which is something Biden had previously promised he would do once he took office.
