#SaveLilTay Trends To Help Lil Tay Fight Abuse At The Hands Of Her Father

Fans are concerned after viral sensation Lil Tay posted some alarming messages to her social media.

The young rapper posted “bad news” to her Instagram Story. Not long after, it was revealed that she was fighting her father in court after years of alleged physical and mental abuse since becoming famous at age nine. She has also posted photos of her injuries on Instagram.

The internet star, whose real name is Claire Hope, rose to fame when videos of her holding loads of money inside luxury vehicles and mansions hit the web when she was only 9-years-old. She quickly amassed a large following on Instagram, currently sitting at two million followers.

Her fame had a negative impact on her mother, Angela Tian, who was fired from her real estate firm after it was revealed that she participated in her daughter’s viral videos. Tay’s older brother, Jason Tian, was also criticized for allegedly coaching his sister on what to do in the videos. Despite viral moments and constant flexing, the young star disappeared from the spotlight.

A judge ordered Tay to move to Canada with her father, Chris Hope, and nothing was posted to her Instagram since June 2018. However, last week, a flurry of new content alerted fans to the alleged at the hands of Chris and his wife, Hanee. Several posts suggested that the two kept Tay from posting to her social media sites how Tay made her living. A clip showing the young star crying was posted on April 23rd. Her brother Jason has since launched a campaign with the hashtag #SaveLilTay. The effort is meant to raise money to help Tay fight her father in court. Her father has denied the allegations.

A GoFundMe has been established to help the young star. It states that her father had not seen his daughter for over five years before gaining custody of her and owed over $400,000 child support.

“My sister Tay has been silent on social media for the past three years because her absentee father (Chris Hope) served my mother a court order demanding control over Tay’s money, career, and custody, and as a result, it was court ordered that my sister had to return to Vancouver, Canada,” the campaign stated.

Many fans have been skeptical about donating because they feel that Jason started it only to benefit himself. However, he has stated that his sister has been beaten and mentally harmed by her father and stepmother.

Lil Tay’s mother has not commented on the situation outside of her social media.
