A Doja Cat fan was so eager to enter her concert that he began making bomb threats in order to skip the line.
On Saturday, fans gathered near downtown Indianapolis’ Monument Circle to attend a free outdoor Doja Cat concert. Just before 5:00 p.m., police responded to the scene and cleared the crowd after being notified that a man in line claimed to have a bomb in his backpack. He was reportedly enraged because he wanted to skip the line, which some fans were in for up to four hours.

“A fan wanted to advance in line, so he exercised very poor judgment and told those around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack. Someone did the right thing and alerted IMPD,” stated Joshua Barker, deputy chief for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Thankfully, Barker says that the backpack did not contain a bomb.
The first-come, first-serve concert was a part of a slew of shows and activities to kick off Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship. The performance was delayed for about 20 minutes but went on without a hitch.
The man’s identity has not yet been made public, but IMPD did confirm that he had unrelated outstanding warrants and was arrested.
