YouTube Wants More Podcasters to Film Their Shows; Reportedly Offering Individual Content Creators $50,000

YouTube is reportedly looking to pay podcasters to add video to their shows.

As more and more people come out with podcasts, streaming giant YouTube wants to encourage more podcasters to record their shows on video and upload them to the platform.

While some podcasters are already doing this, YouTube is offering podcast networks upwards of $200,000 to $300,000 to podcast networks for filmed versions of their podcasts. Individual podcasts and content creators who produce other video content could receive $50,000.

YouTube currently hosts several podcasts, including the H3 podcast, Full Send Podcast and Logan Paul’s Impaulsive. Last year, YouTube hired Kai Chunk to lead its podcasting efforts.
