In a Boston courthouse on Tuesday, New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones entered a not-guilty plea to numerous offenses involving firearms.

Last Friday, security at Logan International Airport detained Jones after finding two pistols in his carry-on luggage.

Jones was charged at the East Boston Municipal Court, according to ESPN.

The Patriots cornerback must appear back in court this August after securing a $30,000 cash bond.

Jones could be facing two counts each of possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

According to ESPN, two of those counts Jones is facing carry 2½ years minimum sentences.

His attorney, Rosemary Scapicchio, has stated that the former USC Trojan and Arizona Wildcat never intended to bring guns to the airport.

“He had no intention of bringing any guns into Logan Airport that day. He had no intention of bringing any guns on to an airplane that day,” said Scapicchio. “I expect the evidence is going to show that he had no knowledge of what was going on.”
