Casanova Reflects on Loneliness in Prison: “I Am Terrified of How Loneliness Brings Me a Twisted Kind of Comfort”

Casanova has posted an update on his prison bid and confesses that the loneliness is “terrifying.”

The rapper, who’s currently serving a 15-year prison term, turned to Twitter on Friday to express some thought-provoking yet distressing reflections from his confinement.

“I am terrified of how loneliness brings me a twisted kind of comfort,” he wrote. In June, Casanova received 188 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Philip M. Halpern, who characterized him as a “high-profile leader of a vicious street gang.”

“Caswell Senior is not just a notorious recording artist, but he is also a high-profile leader of a vicious street gang and a magnet for gang violence,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a press release. “At a crowded Miami house party, Senior personally fired a gun that seriously injured and could have killed a victim, inciting a shootout. Further, Senior’s stature in the community was central to Gorilla Stone’s successful recruitment and nationwide expansion.”

He continued, “Today’s sentencing, along with the other significant sentences that have been imposed in this case, shows once again that gang life is not worth it and will lead to many years in prison.”

Nevertheless, Casanova became the twelfth individual to receive a sentence in the case involving the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang. Among the group, five others have already pleaded guilty and are awaiting their own sentencing. The charges against him include a 2020 Florida shooting incident, a 2018 NYC robbery, and a trafficking conspiracy charge.

A day after his sentencing, the Brooklyn rapper shared a message with his followers, stating: “Everything to the chin, Nothing to the heart. I GET IT NOW. I hope that don’t go over ya heads.”
