Just days after Usher lit up the stage with his electrifying 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, the buzz about next year’s spectacle is already heating up. And guess what? Lil Wayne has thrown his hat in the ring, hinting he’s more than ready to take on the 2025 halftime show.
During a candid chat on the 4Hunnid podcast, hosted by West Coast icon YG and the ever-engaging Stevie, Weezy F Baby dived into a variety of topics. From his dating escapades to reminiscing about that presidential pardon from Donald Trump back in 2020, Wayne didn’t hold back. However, it was his thoughts on rocking the stage at next year’s Super Bowl that caught everyone’s attention.
With the 2025 Super Bowl set to dazzle fans at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th, who better than the Louisiana legend himself to headline the halftime show? When prodded about the possibility, Wayne, in his signature style, removed his glasses and shot Stevie a look that screamed, “You know I’m down if they call.”
“I would not lie to you, I haven’t received a call or anything,” Wayne confessed, keeping it real. Yet, despite the silence from the powers that be, he remains hopeful. Wayne and his team are keeping the faith, fingers crossed, and hustling harder than ever. They’re dedicated to making every move “killa,” ensuring it’s practically impossible for the Super Bowl organizers to overlook him for the 2025 halftime spectacle.
Lil Wayne’s readiness to grace the Super Bowl stage is not just about the performance; it’s a statement. As a native son of New Orleans, his presence would not only electrify the stadium but also pay homage to the vibrant culture and resilient spirit of Louisiana. It’s a potential halftime show that promises to blend raw energy with the soulful essence of one of America’s most iconic cities.
