Ma$e is adamant that he holds no regret for leaving the rap game.
On Friday’s episode of “It Is What It Is,” the rapper was questioned whether he believes his choice to retire in 1999 and pursue a career as a minister was the best decision.
“I did,” he said. “Everything now that we see playing out was all the things I escaped. The car, the Shyne, the Loon, Puff Daddy, the Craig Mack the Biggie Smalls. So even though I made those decisions and it cost me money, that’s why I got with Killa and they gave me the money back. I didn’t lose no money. It’s destiny.”
Additionally, motioning towards the individual off-camera who asked the question, Ma$e added, “See, that’s why it’s destiny. You asked me the right question, we at the right place. This is how it’s meant to go, man.”
In other news, earlier this month, Ma$e gave well wishes to Cam’ron after insinuating that his co-host had been confronted by Mike Tyson for predicting that Jake Paul would win in their upcoming boxing match.
“Mike is my man [but] this is my prediction for the fight: if Mike don’t get him out of there in five rounds, then I believe that Jake Paul’s gonna win the fight,” Cam said.
Shortly after, Ma$e opened an episode of their talk show by himself and proceeded to give a brief monologue regarding his co-host’s encounter with Tyson following intriguing remarks about the upcoming match.
“Cam is on his way here, he’s probably not gonna make this show. He was calling me while he was getting on this flight and he had some sad news,” he said. “Mike Tyson, the guy he was running his mouth about, was standing right behind him when I saw him on FaceTime.”
