The rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake continues to heat up with new developments as Kendrick accuses Drake of hiding a daughter for over a decade. According to sources close to Drake, Kendrick’s allegations are nothing but misinformation.
Both artists released deeply personal diss tracks late Friday night, with Drake’s “Family Matters” and Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” throwing sharp barbs at each other’s personal lives. In “Meet the Grahams,” Kendrick suggests that Drake has kept a daughter secret from the public.
However, insiders close to Drake have dismissed the claim as “utter fabrication,” reflecting Drake’s assertion that Kendrick’s attack includes false information, potentially weakening his position in their ongoing rivalry. Responding to the track, Drake joked on his Instagram story, asking if someone could “find my hidden daughter pls and send her to me,” indicating his disbelief and mocking the accusation by adding, “These guys are in shambles.”
Drake’s track didn’t hold back either, accusing Kendrick of domestic violence against his fiancée Whitney Alford and insinuating that Kendrick’s manager, Dave Free, might be the father of one of Kendrick’s children.
Despite both rappers initially claiming they would keep their battle away from involving women and children, their latest tracks have evidently crossed that line. This shift brings up a critical question in the rap community: In a battle of lyrical skill, is it more important to deliver clever lines, or must all allegations be verifiable facts?
