The latest episode of The Baller Alert Show featured none other than Atlanta legend Big Bank, who sat down with hosts Ferrari Simmons and BT to deliver an engaging, unfiltered conversation about his journey, personal growth, and insights on life, success, and the streets.
Big Bank, a cornerstone of Atlanta’s music and entertainment scene, opened up about his transition from street life to industry success, sharing stories about the creation of Duct Tape Entertainment and his early days in music. Reflecting on his journey, he admitted that leaving the streets behind was one of the hardest decisions he’s ever made. “Cold turkey is damn near impossible,” he said. “You’re shutting off people’s water, and they don’t take that lightly.”
Bank emphasized the importance of finding purpose and structure, noting how his grandchildren inspired him to change his ways. “When my first granddaughter, Riley, told me, ‘Don’t say that, Granddaddy,’ it hit me differently. She made me realize I had to change, not just for me, but for them.”
The conversation also touched on the creation of Big Facts, his hit podcast, and how it started almost by accident. “Future asked me to interview him for an album release,” Bank explained. “Next thing I knew, it turned into a podcast, and people were loving the rawness of it.” With the help of his co-hosts and producer Scream, Big Facts became a platform where real conversations thrived. “We didn’t pay for guests; people just wanted to be part of the authenticity.”
Bank didn’t shy away from discussing regrets, particularly his early days on social media. “The internet is a gift and a curse,” he admitted. “There’s a lot I said online that I regret, but it’s all part of my growth.”
He also highlighted the importance of mental health and the unique ways he finds peace. “My therapy is walking and talking. I might not go sit with a therapist, but having real conversations with people, like Wallow or others who keep it real, helps me process everything.”
As the show wrapped up, Big Bank left listeners with a powerful message about self-reflection and growth. “When you look in the mirror, you have to be honest with yourself. That’s where the real work starts.”
The episode was packed with gems, laughter, and relatable moments, showcasing why Big Bank remains a respected voice in the culture. Fans can follow him at @BigBankATL and tune in to Big Facts for more unfiltered discussions.
