Suspects in Joe Burrow Home Burglary Posed in Photos With Stolen Luxury Items

Four men charged with burglarizing the Ohio home of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow last year took photos of themselves with the $300,000 worth of stolen goods, including designer luggage, watches, jewelry, and cash, according to a newly unsealed federal criminal complaint.

The images, found on a suspect’s cellphone, were taken on December 10, 2024, just a day after Burrow’s Anderson Township home was broken into while he was playing in a Monday Night Football game in Dallas. The complaint states that many of the images were deleted after authorities pulled over the suspects in a January 10 traffic stop.

Federal investigators tracked a cellphone number and license plate linked to the burglary to a hotel in Fairborn, Ohio. When authorities stopped the rented vehicle, they found glass-breaking tools, as well as a stolen LSU shirt and Bengals hat from Burrow’s home.

The four suspects, Chilean nationals Alexander Chavez, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez, and Sergio Cabello, allegedly used fake IDs but were later identified and arrested. They have been charged with interstate transport of stolen goods and falsification of records in a federal investigation.

Burrow was not home during the break-in, but his friend, Olivia Ponton, discovered the burglary around 8 p.m. and noticed a broken bedroom window. According to the complaint, the suspects avoided security personnel by sneaking in through the woods.

The FBI, using surveillance images, cellphone tracking, and other investigative tools, determined that the four men were either in the country illegally or had overstayed their visas.
