Young Thug is now a free man and is looking to get back his many possessions, which were taken from him during his arrest.
The “Lifestyle” star’s attorneys are pushing for the return of items seized in the 2022 raid, including $149,426 in cash, high-end jewelry, and a collection of luxury vehicles. Among them are a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2022 Porsche 911, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach, and two Mercedes-Benz AMG GTs.
Originally, a civil hearing on the matter was scheduled for Friday, but it has since been canceled, according to the judge’s staff.
Thugger, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was taken into custody in May 2022 as part of a massive RICO indictment targeting his label and collective, YSL, with prosecutors determined to prove that the group was a gang. His trial became the longest criminal trial in Georgia’s history before he ultimately accepted a non-negotiated plea deal in October 2024. He will remain on probation for 15 years, though the rapper previously stated he was trying to get the terms reduced.
Thankfully, the rapper is regaining some freedom, including permission to travel through Atlanta’s airport. However, his legal team is still working to reclaim his confiscated assets.
