Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s Frozen Meals Recalled Over Potential Wood Contamination

Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s Frozen Meals Recalled

Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall for select Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s frozen meals due to concerns over wood-like material found in certain products. The recall follows consumer complaints, including one potential choking incident.

The recall impacts specific Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s products manufactured between August 2024 and March 2025, which were distributed to major U.S. retailers from September 2024 to March 2025.

Recalled Products

  • Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli (Best by dates: Oct. 2025 – March 2026)
  • Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli (Best by dates: Oct. 2025 – March 2026)
  • Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry (Best by date: Sept. 2025)
  • Stouffer’s Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96oz) (Best by dates: Oct. 2025 – March 2026)

Consumer Guidance

Consumers who have purchased any of the affected products should not prepare or consume them. Instead, they should return the items to the retailer for a full refund or replacement.

Nestlé has assured customers that they are actively investigating the issue and working closely with the FDA and USDA to ensure product safety.

For further assistance, Nestlé USA can be contacted at (800) 681-1676 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. EST).
