Twitch sensation Kai Cenat is facing backlash after fellow streamer Malik Richh took to social media to air out his frustrations with Cenat’s new mentorship initiative, Streamer University. According to Richh, the program, pitched as a launchpad for undiscovered creators, turned out to be a showcase for Cenat’s close friends and already-established influencers.

Richh, who had hoped Streamer University would give fresh faces a shot, says he feels misled.
“Like, I’m mad disappointed in you, bro. You feel me? You had us thinking us small creators was gonna have the ability or the chance to get inside of this university, bro,” he shared in an Instagram video, which has attracted over 30,000 view.
He’s not the only one disappointed. Twitch creator Zoe Spencer says her application was denied because of personal history with Cenat. Launched with much hype, Streamer University promised to be a free, game-changing weekend of mentorship. The response was overwhelming, as millions tried to get in. But now, many are wondering if it was all for show. DDG, India Love, Cooking With Kya, Duke Dennis and several other well-known influencers were the main draw for the event.
Cenat has yet to publicly respond to the allegations. But for many up-and-coming streamers, the damage to their trust may already be done.
