Jessie J just gave her fans a moment they’ve all been waiting for.
In a new post on Instagram, the singer shared that her breast cancer has not spread following surgery.
In a video filmed the night before her mastectomy, Jessie sits with her 2-year-old son, Sky, gently teaching him to repeat the words, “Mommy’s gonna be okay.” The clip is short, but the meaning is powerful. She captioned it, “And I AM OK. Results = I have NO cancer spread. Happy tears are real.”
She went on to thank everyone who has supported her along the way. “Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy, and all the positive energy,” she wrote.
Jessie, who shares Sky with her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, has been open about her diagnosis since going public in June. After undergoing a single mastectomy, she is now preparing for one final reconstructive procedure.
“There’s still some healing to do,” she admitted. “One more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters.” She ended the post with humor, writing, “For now it’s gratitude time, and I’m changing my name to The LopJess Monster.”
In recent updates, Jessie has been candid about the ups and downs of recovery. She admitted it has been uncomfortable and a bit painful, but said she is managing. She also mentioned that she stopped using pain medication altogether. “
Just not my thing,” she explained. “Also like to feel how it feels so I don’t overdo it.”
She added that she’s been easing back into a routine with physical therapy, clean eating, and moments of stillness. Jessie also reflected on missing the full pace of motherhood but shared that she’s embracing the chance to slow down.
Through it all, her message remains the same: she’s grateful, focused, and holding on to her sense of humor.
