Kewon White, the man accused of gunning down Dallas rapper Mo3 in 2020, is now making a surprising plea from behind bars. During a recent interview with RealLyfe Productions, White revealed he’s hoping former president Donald Trump can help him fight his case.
“Man, I’m trying to pay Donald Trump to get me up out of here so I can get that bond. I need to pay Donald Trump to let me up out of this b***h so I can bond out and fight this sh*t from the world, man,” White said in the interview weeks ago, which is now making its rounds online.
White is still awaiting trial and is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on October 9th, with the trial expected to begin in November. Prosecutors allege that rapper Yella Beezy hired White to carry out the hit on Mo3, though Beezy has denied involvement.
The request for Trump’s help comes as the former president has granted several high-profile pardons to rap artists in recent years. Lil Wayne and Kodak Black both received clemency during Trump’s time in office. More recently, NBA YoungBoy was granted a pardon in May after facing felony gun charges.
Trump has not commented publicly on White’s plea and it’s unknown if he is familiar with the murder case.
