21 Savage On The Hook for $1 Million After Felony Charges Dropped

Last week, 21 Savage’s felony theft charges were dropped after prosecutors refused to move forward with the case against him. The charges, which resulted in a warrant for his arrest, stemmed from a failed concert booking from 2016.

In the incident, a club promoter said he coughed up $17,000 for a 21 Savage performance that never happened. Back in 2016, the promoter said he went to the police for a felony warrant, but officials didn’t act on it until his 2019 ICE arrest. However, upon his release from ICE custody, prosecutors refused to pursue charges, classifying the case as a civil matter. 

But now, despite the dismissal of charges, the drama over the 2016 performance still lingers, as the promoter, who has been identified as Sadaetirs Kent Smith, has filed a $1 million lawsuit over the failed gig. 

In new documents obtained by TMZ, Smith says he never received the $16,500 reimbursement for the no-show. So now, he’s demanding $1 million for Savage’s breach of contract and the alleged emotional distress he caused.
