41-Year-Old Palm Beach Man Accused Of Impregnating a 13-Year-Old, Blames It On Voodoo

A West Palm Beach man is accused of the incestuous rape and impregnation of a 13-year-old girl.  Authorities say he didn’t deny the charge.  Jean Innocent, 41, remains in Palm Beach County Jail on one charge of incest, impregnation of a child, and two counts of sexual battery of a child in familial or custodial care.

“…during a post-Miranda interview with [Jean Innocent], he stated that he believes VOODOO caused him” to rape the girl, the arrest report obtained by West Palm Beach police investigators.

On Dec. 19, the child went to St. Mary’s Medical Center after experiencing abdominal pains.  The staff determined she was six weeks pregnant, Miami Herald reported.

She said Innocent began sexually abusing her over the summer and that the last time was in November.

Police listened in on a call between the girl and Innocent in which she described to him how she had been throwing up and that the hospital would test to see if she was pregnant.

He told her “to say no and to say she had a relationship with a boy named ‘Semen.’”

The report reads that Innocent later said that “he believes his pre-ejaculation could have caused her to become pregnant.”

He also blamed voodoo as the reason he raped the girl and admitted to raping her twice.

His bond is $28,000.
