Months ago 50 Cent posted the photo above. Spelling out the word ‘Broke’ with hundred dollar bills makes a huge statement when you have just filed for bankruptcy. The rapper has been ordered to appear in bankruptcy court on Wednesday to explain this photo, as well as another where he is laying on a bed of hundred dollar bills.
The courts are concerned that the rapper is hiding assets and was not truthful in his bankruptcy filing. As you recall, 50 filed for bankruptcy just after being ordered to pay Rick Ross’ baby mama $7 million in damages for leaking her sex tape on his website.
In a court filing on Tuesday, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson III, says that the currency is fake. He assures the courts that he is not hiding assets and that the money pictured are just props.
50 is due in court today, so we will see how that excuse holds up.
