Actor Jonathan Majors Arrested in New York City For Allegedly Assaulting His Girlfriend

Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City over the weekend on charges of assault, harassment, and strangulation, TMZ reports.

According to law enforcement sources, Majors’ girlfriend, who was with him in a taxi returning home from a bar in Brooklyn, allegedly saw another woman texting him, leading to an argument between the couple. The girlfriend claims that when she tried to look at Majors’ phone, he became angry and allegedly slapped her while grabbing her hand. She also alleges that he put his hands around her neck during the incident.

Majors reportedly spent the night elsewhere, while the girlfriend was dropped off somewhere. She went to the police the following morning and reported the incident as a crime.

Majors’ team has denied the allegations against him.

The case is still under investigation.
