According to Google’s Year in search data, Adam Sandler is the top trending celebrity style for 2021. The Grown Ups actor is known for his basketball shorts looks and oversized tee shirts. A new definition of street style.
Though he is true Hollywood royalty, he really puts minimal effort into his outfits, whether it’s breakfast at IHOP or a quick grocery store run. Gen Zs and millennials can’t get enough of his casual athleisure.
Some other celebrities that made Google’s list include Britney Spears (#2), Lizzo (#9), Doja Cat (#5), and Harry Styles (#6). Though those celebrities are likely, Sandler’s win seems totally left-field gaining the number one spot.
Earlier this year in May, Sandler went viral for his questionable outfit before a basketball pickup game. He was spotted wearing long red and white shorts with a pink oversized polo shirt and mini Uggs. Though the “Murder Mystery” actor could afford a shopping spree since his net worth is over $400 million dollars, looks like shopping is the last thing on his mind.
