American Airlines Pilot Threatens To ‘Dump’ Trump Fans In Kansas If They Did Not “Behave”

Trump supporters have really shown out over the past few days, and the pilot on an American Airlines flight has had enough. On a Friday flight out of Washington, DC, the pilot threatened to land early and dismiss passengers if they did not “behave.”

Prior to departure, passengers on AA flight 1242 — “many of them wearing MAGA hats,” according to the New York Post, “were shouting ‘USA ‘over and over again.”

In a video posted to Twitter, the pilot can be heard saying, ‘This is the way it’s gonna be… it’s a four and a half hour flight to Phoenix. I’ll put this plane down in the middle of Kansas and dump people off, I don’t care.”

Mindy Robinson, one of the passengers in the cabin, seemed taken aback by the pilot’s comments. “Wow,” her Twitter post began. “I’m on a plane full of patriots…we started chanting ‘USA” … and the Captain came on and said he’d drop us off in Kansas…if we didn’t obey their every single rule. American Airline is everything but American,” she ended with.

The pilot’s words, however, were not meant to be taken in a political context.

In a statement to The Post, an AA spokesperson wrote, the pilot was “emphasizing the importance of following crew member instructions and complying with mandatory face-covering policies. At American, we take the safety of our customers seriously and we value the trust they place in our team to care for them throughout their journey.”

There were no in-flight incidents. But since Wednesday, U.S. airlines and law enforcement have increased security at the two big Washington-area airports.

According to Daily Mail, “United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines said they were working closely with law enforcement agencies to keep people safe and would continue enforcing strict mask policies on flights.”
