American Promoter In Angola Kidnapped For Nas NYE No-Show

An American concert promoter and his son have been kidnapped in Angola over a failed Nas show. Patrick Allocco of AllGood Entertainment booked Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai of Atlanta, GA to perform New Years Eve in Angola. When Nas and Jemiah Jai failed to board their international flight Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, the local “concert impresario” that fronted the $315,000 for the show, hired goons to kidnap Allocco and his son and hold them in a hotel until they get their money back.

You ever get those SPAM emails from a friend of yours who’s email account has been hacked by scammers? You know how it always talks about how they’ve been beaten, kidnapped and their passports  stolen and they need money to help come back to America? This really just happened.

Well, in this case it doesn’t say that the promoters were harmed. Apparently Miguel feared that Allocco would flee the country before the problem was resolved so he took it upon himself to take Allocco into custody until they could work out the money issue. “The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated,” read a statement from Allocco’s people.

Although Nas does not take full responsibility for the situation claiming a “miscommunication” about travel plans, Nas has agreed to try to return the money he accepted for the botched New Years Eve show. He is unsure of where to send the check, but is working on the solution to bring the promoter back to America.

I personally think all janky promoters should be kidnapped but that’s neither here nor there because it hasn’t been stated that this guy is exactly janky. Then again, we all know what “miscommunication” means. It’s crazy what happens when people’s money gets messed over, especially overseas. I bet this guy will make sure all his ducks are in a row next time.
