Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo has been hit with a misdemeanor in what a state court spokesman called a “sex crime” case.
Prosecutors say Cuomo has been charged with forcible touching. The incident happened at the state’s Executive Mansion on the afternoon of Dec. 7 last year during which Cuomo allegedly groped an aide.
This filing comes just two months after Cuomo resigned following accusations of sexual harassment against the former governor.
A report issued by the state Attorney General’s office in August revealed Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 current and former staffers, including a state police trooper and women outside of government.
Cuomo previously denied all accusations of sexual misconduct.
