Angela Oakley opened up about a challenge familiar to many Bravo couples: the strain that reality TV filming put on her marriage to Charles Oakley.
During BravoCon 2025, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” newcomer admitted that life in front of the cameras stirred up daily disagreements with her husband.
“We argued every day,” Angela, 44, said, laughing during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
She shared that Charles, 61, had questions from the start.
“Charles was like, ‘What are you doing? Why are you taking so long to go off on this person who says this? Why do you even want to be this person’s friend?’” she recalled.
Angela tried to explain the Housewives’ dynamic to him.
“I’m like, ‘Charles, this is a friend group. Friendships heal quick in this group. You have to get over it.’” Despite his reservations, she says he’s remained supportive. “He shows up for me, so he’ll be here along for the ride.”
Season 16 wasn’t short on drama. Tensions ran high after Kenya Moore showed explicit photos on camera, sparking conflict with Brit Eady and leading to Kenya’s removal from the rest of the season. Though Kenya later apologized online, she was absent from the reunion.
