Autopsy Reveals Prince Died From Drug Overdose

Following months of speculation, a Minnesota autopsy has reportedly revealed the cause of death for late singer, Prince.

According to the Associated Press, the autopsy found an Opioid overdose to be responsible for the sudden death. The report came from a law enforcement official who wishes to remain anonymous due to lack of permission to speak to the media.

The legendary musician died inside of an elevator in his Minneapolis home on April 21. Prior to his death, the Grammy and Oscars award winner had a string of health-relates issues, one of which forced an emergency landing of his private plane just days before.

Prince’s close family and friends have remained adamant regarding Prince’s healthy lifestyle, stating that the singer has never abused drugs.

AP reports the investigators had been looking into whether Prince had been prescribed the drugs by a doctor.
